Marketing and Audience Engagement
COVID has changed the way our journalism program stays connected with the school. We have learned to adapt from the methods we used in the past. Using the combination of social media and in-person events allows us to reach all audience members.
Yearbook Distribution Event

This year, we hosted a yearbook distribution event where we passed out copies of the yearbook from the year before. Students who purchased a yearbook were invited to stay to sign their peers' book. This fun event encouraged students to continue buying yearbooks. My classmate Emily (pictured) and I were in charge of talking to the freshmen. We marketed to a new audience and class of students.
Fundraising Events

I worked with the business student leader to formulate a list of fundraisers for the school year. We wanted to fundraise through community events to help spread the word about our program.
